How does it work?

Inserting a Rapid-Pi equation is easy – just click on the Rapid-Pi button on Microsoft Word’s toolbar (toolbar button is currently only provided for Microsoft Word 2000 and later).
Rapid-Pi supports a large number of mathematical symbols and expressions, including all symbols supported by Microsoft Equation Editor.
While Rapid-Pi does come with a detailed manual and reference guide, you don’t really need to read anything past the introduction. You certainly don’t need to memorize the syntax for all the symbols supported by Rapid-Pi.
The first time you need to use a symbol, just click on the appropriate toolbar button and Rapid-Pi will insert the text for you (for example, “.a” for lower-case alpha, “.int” for integral, etc). Soon, you’ll probably find that you don’t need to use the toolbar 90% of time. The toolbar will still be available for the occasions when you need to enter a symbol that you’ve never used before (or if you forget how to enter a rarely-used symbol).
If you’ve misspelled the keyword for a symbol, Rapid-Pi will underline it with a red squiggly line (just like Word does for spelling errors). You can right-click on the keyword to see the spelling suggestions.
